In Google chrome, you can import and export bookmarks and settings from another browser or from a bookmarks HTML file.
It imports browsing history, bookmarks, search engine settings and saved passwords.
Below are the steps:
Exporting bookmarks and settings
- Goto Google chrome menu (Top-right side of browser window)
- Goto Bookmarks
- Click on “Bookmark Manager”
- Click on Organize drop-down menu
- Click “Export bookmarks to HTML file…
This file can be imported in chrome to retain the bookmarks and settings
Importing bookmarks and settings
- Goto Google chrome menu (Top-right side of browser window)
- Goto Bookmarks
- Click on “Import bookmarks and settings”
- Select the browser from where you want to import the bookmarks and settings.
Note: In the drop-down menu, it shows only the browsers installed on your computer.
- You can also select Bookmarks HTML file
- Select what item you want to import and click “import” button
